IMO Resolution A.868(20) is a reality and it's beginning to get a lot of attention from many nations throughout the world. As you are aware several nations now require some form of ballast water management to take place onboard vessels calling their ports.

This management can include: at sea ballast exchange, reporting forms, ballast management logs, training and the designation of a ballast water management officer.

One copy of the plan will be for the company office. One copy of the plan to be maintained by HMMS, for updating purposes.
